We have two very different but equally splendid new releases in stores this month
Sian Alice Group - 59.59 (in-stores June 7) Debut album from London-based outfit Sian Alice Group. The band is already on the rise in its native England having opened a string of shows for Spiritualized and received a flurry of attention in the press. 59.59 is a fully realized album that moves through traditional pop songwriting and instrumental composition while tempering it with studio improvisation.
Jeremy Jay - A Place Where We Could Go (in-stores June 28) Debut album from 23 year old Jeremy Jay (pictured). A Place Where We Could Go is a statement of fiction and fact, exploring the shadowy depths of an attitude: the romance of life without the people and things that pull down the corners; create your own world. This universe may have a fairy tale look; it may be illuminated by streetlight. But it will definitely be a safe haven for the exploration of dreams.

Their debut EP just came out on their own label The Spring Press and will be back in the studio soon to record a split 7" with Love Of Diagrams (due out on Popfrenzy in August).
