New on Popfrenzy Records

It is with great pleasure to announce that our first release for 2014 will be the debut LP from Leeds based post-punk quintet EAGULLS. Since forming in 2009, Leeds-based Eagulls have become synonymous with a discontented, disillusioned kind of anger, molded into bullets of post punk that’s rife with urgency and aggression.

Ahead of the release of their debut full length, which will be available digitally on March 4th and physically on April 11, the band have already taken out an award at this year's NME awards for best music video and have played a slot on David Letterman. Check out that performance below! All hail EAGULLS!

Artful post-punk pioneers Wire returns to Australia in February 2014.

Wire rose to prominence in the late 1970’s and nearly 40 years on their sounds are still incredibly intense. Constantly expanding the sonic boundaries of the genre with their wildly original experimentation and expansive sound they unleash the perfect juxtaposition of sweet sentiment with razor sharp musicality. Seemingly holding the key to eternal youth, art-punk’s prolific forefathers are as fiercely magnetic today as they ever were. Their latest album 'Change Becomes Us’ is testament to this.

“Wire always seem to be ahead of their time, no matter what time they choose to exist in.” (Pitchfork)
