Puveyors of pop, pop practiced to perfection, need to be cherished. The Clientele are such a band. Taking cues from Monkees, Byrds, Zombies and pretty much any band that inhabited both pseudo-Animalia and 60's pop simultaneously (those Beatle types included), The Clientele have consistently created praiseworthy pop for new audiences, highly stylised and intricately arranged just like the good ol' days.
They've most definitely ensnared Popfrenzy. Having released each of The Clientele's full length releases, it is with great pleasure that Popfrenzy announces The Clientele's very first Australian tour.
Special guest for all the shows will be Robert Scott (The Bats, The Clean). Robert will also be playing at a special headline show on Wednesday July 25 at Rob Roy Hotel in Melbourne with Hand Hell and Batrider (acoustic set).
God Save The Clientele out now on Popfrenzy Records. Strange Geometry and The Violet Hour out now also on Popfrenzy.
